A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating A Child’s Light’s new home at 257 West Uwchlan Avenue, Downingtown!
We are deeply grateful for the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce and extend special thanks to Chester County Commissioners Marian Moskowitz, Eric Roe, and Josh Maxwell, along with CEO David Beyerman for making this milestone meaningful. Together, we are shining a light on healing and hope across Chester County.
- West Chester University: Founder/Executive Director Leslie Holt met with students to introduce ACL and share internship opportunities.
- Women’s Business Connection of Chester County: Welcomed ACL as their new community partner during their August luncheon. We love connecting with members at monthly luncheons and networking events to share ACL’s mission and impact.
- Festival of Flight: We had a wonderful time connecting with the community. We are so grateful for the conversations and donations that came in to support children and families we serve.
Impact Story: Isaiah’s Journey
Isaiah’s Story: Reclaiming Joy One Step at a Time
At 11 years old, Isaiah’s world was small and filled with fear. Years of emotional and physical abuse left him too afraid to ride a bike, play catch, or simply enjoy being a child.
When A Child’s Light stepped in, traditional therapy wasn’t the right fit—so we introduced equine therapy. Horses, with their quiet strength and gentle presence, helped Isaiah begin to heal without needing words. Step by step, he started to reclaim joy and freedom.
